
So we take the toys measurements, do some maths, thanks bobby and make a computer model animate it to see what we got…

we then buy one hobermans spheres … give a it a go ourselves – model it at 1:20 with some of our housemates tights we pinned it too the inside of the toy, rigged it up with fishing wire on some mdf and hey presto!

so down to the nuts and bolts – after several – i mean a lot of time effort advise and googling, we manage to value engineer every building element to the wire – hence of the shelf shelf brackets do just the trick!

make some jigs crack out the mig welder and this is what we made, some sexy quad junctions of set centre lines to allow the two arms to pivot side by side

flat packed the dome is unloaded from van

ratchets out… there’s over 800 nuts and bolts to crank together… many hands make lighter worker

structure lifted onto 1m scaffold

the T shirt fabric sewn piece by piece together into giant parachute is erected and setting sail as the wind gets up it!

each every juction btween the white paracute and bolted junction is tightened and adjusted for perfect tension

the interior is made completely white , floor walls and ceiling – the sense of calm is remarkable
